Godox SA and GPB Refunds, Returns and Warranty
You may return a product for refund or exchange (if due to our error) within 14 days of the order shipment date.
The order shipment date and order notification are provided to you by email.
All returns must be accompanied with a Return Merchandise Authorisation number (order number #) which you would have received upon placing your order online.
If we shipped you the wrong product, or it arrived defective or damaged.
Contact us within 14 days of the item’s order shipment date to arrange for the return of your purchase.
We will send a replacement or refund you for your purchase, provided the returned item(s) are received back in their original packaging, along with all accessories, etc., where applicable.
Packaging is part of the complete item so it must be in perfect condition.
If you ordered the wrong item
We will exchange your goods for the correct item or if the item is not available we will refund you for your purchase (minus the delivery cost) within 14 days of you returning the goods to us, provided the returned item(s) are received back in its original packaging and provided your purchase is in “as-new” condition, and the purchased product was not noted as a clearance or non-returnable item.
When your return is received, you will be issued a refund (to the credit card used to pay) for the merchandise only. Please note that you are responsible for the cost of shipping the package back to us.
If the goods do not match their description.
If the goods do not in all material respects and characteristics correspond with their description on our website, you may return them to us at our expense within 10 days of you having received them, in the original packaging. We shall refund to you the cost of the goods less the reasonable cost of repackaging them, and we reserve our right to charge you a reasonable amount for use of the goods if the goods have been used.

Terms of Warranty:
The Warranty time is:
- 14 Days – Godox Flash Tubes, Batteries and Modeling Lamps, Lighting Tents, Softboxes, Umbrellas, Backdrops and Lighting Accessories
- 3 years – GPB Camera Batteries
- 1 year – Beston Batteries
- 6 months Lithium LiFePo4 and Power Banks – subject to assessment
The warranty covers only damage and defects resulting from reasons inherent in the sold device, provided the device has only been used on a non-professional basis, professional usage which displays as excessive use is not covered by warranty.
The Warranty does not cover:
- Mechanical damage and defects caused by them.
- Damage resulting from improper use or storage of the product not in accordance with the user manual and safety regulations.
- Damage caused by external factors such as flooding with liquid, moisture, too high or too low temperatures, atmospheric discharges, chemical agents, and other factors beyond the Guarantor’s control.
- Damage resulting from unauthorized repairs and alterations.
- Damage resulting from natural wear and tear, such as scratches, dirt, abrasions.
- The warranty is not transferable when items are re-sold.
- Damage caused when powering Godox products using non-godox external power supplies or generators.
The customer will be charged with the costs of transport and diagnosis of the product if the product sent as part of the warranty complaint is functional or its defects resulted from improper or overuse of the product.
Defects that occur during the warranty period will be repaired free of charge, as soon as possible; subject to the availability of spare parts; excluding the cost of any transport.
If it is necessary to deliver the equipment for review and repair, the Customer is obliged to send the equipment in a properly secured package with protective packaging around the equipment so that there is no risk of damage to the equipment during transport. In the event of damage during transportation, the costs are borne by the customer.
Godox SA/GPB is not responsible for financial losses and other civil law consequences caused by a defect in the advertised device (loss of profit, turnover, inability to conduct business).
Before introducing a product to the market, we subject it to numerous tests and controls, thanks to which we are sure that the introduced product will function flawlessly. Each product is covered by a guarantee and warranty in accordance with applicable law.
Errors and Omissions
While every effort will be made to ensure that our pricing and products advertised are correct. We realise there will be times when there will be a pricing error and as such, reserve the right to update prices at any time without any prior notice given. If you are in doubt, please phone and check the price with our store before purchasing an item to check both stock levels and price.
Returning a product for warranty assessment:
You may return the product to the store where it was purchased or to GPB – Golden Power Batteries / Godox SA – Google Maps whichever is more convenient for you.

Email sales@gpbatteries.co.za or info@godox.co.za letting us know you have a Warranty Claim and we will reply with all the steps you need to follow.
How to package the parcel:
If the item is already in a box:
- Make sure item/s can’t move around in the box.
- Bubble wrap or scrunched up paper can be used as cushion/filler.
- Wrap the box in a protective layer so that it can’t get scratched during transit, eg. do not hand couriers an unwrapped plastic protected box.
- Mark the package as fragile.
If the item is not in a box:
- Wrap the item/s individually with bubble wrap.
- Place the bubble wrapped item/s inside a box, eg. shoe box.
- Use bubble wrap or scrunched up paper as cushion/filler.
- Mark the package as fragile.
60-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 60-day money-back guarantee on all eligible purchases. If you are not satisfied, you may request a return, exchange, or refund.
- Refunds apply to the product value only
- Shipping and delivery fees are non-refundable
- Returns must be sent using a trackable and insured method
Return Requirements
To qualify for a return:
- Must be requested within 60 days of purchase
- Item must be in resellable condition
- Must include original packaging and all accessories
- Must be returned to the original point of purchase
Incomplete Returns
Returns missing original packaging or accessories will incur a 35% restocking fee.
This includes missing or damaged:
- Boxes, cables, straps, manuals, or any included items
This fee covers repackaging, replacement parts, and handling.
Return Frequency Policy
To ensure fair use:
- Maximum of 3 returns per customer within a 12-month period
- Additional returns may incur a 10% restocking fee
Your 60-day guarantee remains valid. This policy helps prevent misuse while protecting genuine customers.
10-Day Returns (Standard Policy)
Most goods can also be returned within 10 days of purchase for a refund or exchange, subject to:
- Original invoice must be provided
- Items must be unused and in original condition and packaging
- Returns after 10 days may incur a handling and restocking fee
Additional Conditions:
- Returns are at the customer’s expense (courier fees apply)
- Courier costs may be deducted from refunds
- For exchanges, customers pay both return and redelivery courier fees
- Items must be securely repackaged with a copy of the invoice included
Items Excluded from 10-Day Returns
The following items are not eligible for return unless defective:
- Special-order or custom items
- Products sold as damaged, defective, used, or repaired (where disclosed before purchase)
Unsuitable Products
If a product was recommended for a specific purpose but proves unsuitable:
- It may be returned within 10 working days
- A refund will be issued, subject to reasonable usage and restocking considerations
Defective Goods & Warranty
Within 6 Months:
- Items will be repaired, replaced, or refunded
- Products may undergo technical assessment
- Feedback will be provided within 10 days of receipt
After 6 Months (Within Warranty):
- Item will be sent for repair
- A technician will assess the claim
- Repair or replacement will be provided if valid
Out of Warranty:
- Repairs can be arranged upon approval of a quotation
Manufacturer Warranty Exclusions
Warranty does not cover:
- Lightning or power surge damage
- Misuse or abuse
- Use outside intended purpose
- Failure to follow instructions
- Accidental damage
Refund Methods
Approved refunds are processed via:
- Store voucher
- Electronic bank transfer (allow at least 48 hours)
- Cash (if originally paid by cash or debit card)
- Credit card reversal (subject to bank processing times)
Refunds are typically made using the original payment method.
Online Returns Process
For online orders, returns must be requested within 10 business days:
- Email sales@gpbatteries.co.za to request a return or exchange
- Returns must be sent to the original point of purchase, please include all invoice details and contact details.
- Customers in remote areas may return items via postal service
- Once received and inspected, we will confirm and process your return
- Refunds:
- Credit card: processed immediately
- EFT: requires banking details (3–5 working days)
- Exchanges: tracking details will be provided upon dispatch
